If you feel you don't have time to read, you must not be reading the right books! Find a book that takes you far away and into a world that is not your own!

Welcome to my BOOK BLOG! Sadly, I've never been to a book group or belonged to a book club, but I love books so I decided to start a book blog. I'm so excited to read and would love to hear your recommendations! Please leave your review/thoughts on books that I post or give me recommendations! Hi JaNece! This is probably kind of odd for me to comment on your blog since you have no idea who I am! I am in the nursing program with Pat, and as I was adding my classmates on facebook, I saw the link to your family blog, which lead me to your book blog! I love love love reading and am currently in two book clubs! A lot of the books you had posted on here and on your shelfari list I have loved, so I thought I would just add my two cents worth! Have you read "there is no me without you" by Melissa Fay Greene? That is a nonfiction about a woman in Africa who takes in AIDS orphans. Or "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch? Another more serious one. I love nonfiction as well, but I just haven't read any lately! Anyway, hopefully that isn't too creepy to have a stranger read your blog!

I highly recommend "The Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale. It's the first book of a 3-book series called "The Books of Bayern". I didn't like the other two nearly as much as this one. It's a really good read & quite a page-turner (for me, anyway). :)
I've heard of Goose Girl, but haven't read it. I've read 2 of Shannon Hale's other books. Princess Acadamy and Book of a Thousand Days. Both good. Her books are kind of about girls/princesses from the eastern world. Young adult and easy reads. I just finished Ninteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. It was about a highschool shooting. Very good, but not a true story - which I was kind of thankful for. I love to read!

I LOVE YOUR "WHO DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO READ" PHILOSPHY!! I'm Whitney's aunt and your retreat sounded WONDERFUL!!! We are wishing that Whitney's family would move to ARIZ. like Jamie but that won't happen with your great gatherings!!! I know her good friends in Herriman are a real deterrent too....anyway, I am recommending a wonderful book...everyone loves it THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett.SO...put in a good word to Whitney for me :) ARIZ.IS WONDERFUL THIS TIME OF YEAR!
